Kyle & Erica 12.05.20 (and 2.12.21)
Kyle and Erica met nearly 10 years before their love story began. Having only a couple of mutual friends, they attended rival high schools and then rival colleges -- their paths not coming together again until both their careers landed them back where it all began in their hometown of Vancouver, WA. They created a strong friendship by joining a local softball team and taking their dogs out for walks in the park before giving dating a shot.
Fast forward a couple of years, Kyle and Erica designed and built a house on Green Mountain and it was only fitting that they chose The Empress Estate (just down the hill) as their wedding location. While COVID-19 changed their plans many times, they enjoyed a small December ceremony on the chateau deck with 30 of their closest friends and family, and celebrated with an intimate reception two months later in February (...during a snow storm).
While at times it felt like the world was against them, their friends and family always tell them, if they can make it through building a house and planning a wedding during COVID-19, they can make it through anything!
