For a larger history of the Empress Estate, you can read a Columbian Newspaper article, dated January 17, titled “An empress reigns again: Woodland estate opens for weddings”. Stover E. Harger III of The Columbian did a great job of covering some of the history of the Woodland, Washington mansion, and how it has been transformed several times over the past couple of decades from The Empress Palace to The Empress Estate - the new event venue and B&B.
We have completed our second year and have been thrilled at the response. Our weddings have been absolutely stunning and we have been grateful to be a part of so many new beginnings this past year. We are excited to open the Estate once again and share it with the public with a new purpose. It is a joy to be your hosts in this strikingly unique southwest Washington wedding and event venue.
“Thank you” so much to The Columbian for sharing the history of all the folks involved in making this beautiful mansion a continuing southwest Washington landmark!
